Our Yaki Coffee Tables are crafted from large slices of reclaimed white oak trees that have been burned using a Japanese technique called Yakisugi or Shou Sugi Ban.  Yaki (Heated with fire) technique originated in Japan in the early 1700's as a way to treat cedar and cypress siding; making it fire retardant and water resistant.  Adopted by furniture makers the technique not only darkens the wood but exposes amazing textures and beautiful grain patterns.  You really have to touch these tables to full appreciate them.   

This Yaki Coffee Table is 32" in diameter and 3" thick.  It stands on 4 chrome legs with an overall height of 15"
